About Me

I come from a long lineage of wise and experienced women who bring calm and clarity to the birth space, ensuring you feel safe, supported, and heard.

My name is Vicki Hobbs, and I am a pregnancy, birth, and postpartum practitioner, birth coach and educator based in the northern suburbs of Perth, Western Australia. I’m also a mother to two fiercely independent and wonderfully unique daughters. With 15 years age difference, and having experienced several miscarriages in between both of them, they have taught me invaluable lessons about change, loss, grief, joy, choice, patience, and the importance of respecting people as individuals. I have watched my daughters embrace their individuality and grow into strong, confident young women who are non-judgemental and inclusive. Seeing them navigate life with courage, compassion, and an open heart reassures me that the values of respect, choice, and kindness continue to be a strength of our family.

Recently, I became a nanna, and there are no words to describe the immense pride I feel as my family grows, and the next generation begins their journey.

Over the years, I have studied many complementary therapies to offer women a range of choices for mind, body, and emotional healing as I believe what works for one person may not for the next. My goal is to provide holistic support that nurtures women through every stage of their journey, helping them feel strong, informed, and in tune with their own needs.

I am also a fierce advocate for women’s choices, particularly in birth, to help prevent birth trauma and ensure women have the knowledge, confidence, and support to create beautiful, memorable experiences. Every woman deserves to be heard, respected, and fully informed about her options, and I am committed to making sure she feels in control of her own journey.

Taking the fear out of birth,
through education, planning and preparation

In 2004, I took a leap of faith — leaving behind a highly paid corporate hospital job to start my own business as a remedial massage and mind-body therapist. I trusted that everything I had worked for and believed in would guide me forward. Like pregnancy and birth, the journey has been filled with challenges and triumphs, each one shaping the wealth of knowledge and experience that underpins my work today.

Building my business around my family has been no small feat, but it’s something I have mastered. I don’t claim to be perfect or to have all the answers, but I am committed to finding them. I take great care in providing evidence-based information, thoughtful guidance, and genuine support, always striving to exceed expectations and offer true value.

Let me be completely honest—while I love working with women during pregnancy and birth, my focus is not on the baby. My priority is the woman. My approach goes back to basics, ensuring she feels nurtured, safe, and heard.

Not long after starting my business, I recognised a gap—there were no properly trained pregnancy massage therapists in Perth. That realisation led me to further my training and become a highly qualified Pregnancy Massage Specialist. As I worked with more women, I found myself naturally sharing birth knowledge during their massages and was often invited to their births. The next step was clear: I trained as a Childbirth Educator and Doula. What started as a seed of passion grew into a thriving tree—strong, wise, and offering shelter and support to those who seek it.

Today, my work is centred around education, preparation, and informed choices, helping women approach birth with confidence—free from judgment or guilt—so they can embrace their pregnancy and birth with strength and self-assurance.

I have a strong commitment to studying and researching, which allows me to offer women evidence-based resources that support their mind, body, and emotions. Combined with my own experiences and wisdom, I aim to help women feel safe, supported, and fully prepared for their transition into motherhood.
